In May 2017 after their 2nd ultrasound, they found out it was a baby boy and that he had a condition called Hypoplastic Left  Heart Syndrome (also known as HLHS) which means the left ventricle of the heart did not develop.  After many Doctors appointments and ultrasounds, they were informed of what was in store for their family.  He will be born early September(at 38 weeks gestation) in Saskatoon and then Air Ambulance lifted to Edmonton for his first Surgery as a newborn, followed by at least 2 or more surgeries in Edmonton before he is 4 years old. The surgeries are essential to redirect the right side of the heart to take over what the Left Ventricle should be doing which is supplying blood to his organs and body. old.
