Good Deed # 88 of 150 – The Brain Injury Association Sudbury & District
150 Good Deeds in 150 Days 2017.
The Brain Injury Association Sudbury & District
AUGUST 8, 2017
The Brain Injury Association Sudbury & District is a volunteer, community-based organization dedicated to providing survivor support, developing injury prevention programs and providing educational activities and information dissemination about acquired brain injuries. Their Mission is to promote and contribute to an environment in the Greater City of Sudbury and District which is responsible for the needs of all persons affected by brain injury and which results in brain injury support, education, resources, and prevention. This good deed was nominated by Keri Puddy of our Sudbury branch. Keri’s father-in-law has been living in an assisted living facility in Sudbury for 25 years now and while he is well taken care of, it is very frustrating for the families trying to handle his affairs and effectively communicate with him. Having access to family resources, advocates and hearing from others experiencing the same issues helps relieve a lot of stress.
