Hobbitstee Wildlife Refuge

JULY 11, 2017

Hobbitstee is an all-volunteer not-for-profit organization.  We care for sick, injured, orphaned or displaced native Ontario wildlife, with the ultimate goal of returning them to the wild and also to identify problem areas and put measures in place to prevent said wildlife from being in distress. To educate the general public on how to peacefully coexist with wildlife and to participate and initiate research to improve wildlife rehabilitation and wildlife well-being in general.  Hobbitstee is licensed with Canadian Wildlife Service and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry but does not receive funding from either regulatory agency.  The center depends on the financial support of the community and volunteer service to assist with the day-to-day operations.

Hobbitstee’s vision is to become an exemplary wildlife rehabilitation, education and research facility adhering to the highest possible standards.  This good deed was nominated by David Weber of our Kitchener branch.
