NUTRITION FOR LEARNING PROGRAM, EASTWOOD COLLIGATE INSTITUTE, KITCHENER, ON

This program feeds approximately 57 students, 5 days a week throughout the school year. The Student Nutrition Program impacts the physical, cognitive, behavioral and academic needs of children. Many Syrian refugees have come to Eastwood Colligate Institute recently, and as a result, the school is severely underfunded. Research has proven that the students who come to school hungry do not perform well in the classroom. They have difficulty concentrating, have behavioral problems, are less alert and often lethargic.

ACTION:

Weber Supply has made a donation to Eastwood Collegiate to help reach their goal.
