Gilda’s Club Barrie is a free program of social and emotional support for anyone who is feeling the impact of cancer. Gilda´s Club is a place to find inspiration in a community atmosphere with others who are facing cancer. Their mission is to ensure that all people impacted by any cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community. Because no cancer care plan is complete without emotional and social support, our innovative programs of networking and support groups, educational workshops and social activities are provided free of charge. This good deed was nominated by Kelly Jobson of our Kitchener branch.
